random thought: saturday scruples

At the local grocer, you see an elderly woman shoplift bacon. Do you tell the grocer?
of course! i actually was in a store once and did that. i was in this really nice (and expensive) store with all this handmade glass stuff. there was all kinds of jewlery and i stopped to look next to this old woman with a huge old-woman-purse, haha. well, anyway, i distinctly saw her take this barrette and slip it into her bag. and i think she saw me see her do it. anyway, i told the owner and they searched her and found it. woohoo! she was pissed, but at least she didn't get arrested or some shit. that would have been worse than just embarrassment.

Your century old church is an architectural treasure but the congregation is declining. Developers offer $20 million and a sanctuary in the office tower they want to build. Do you accept?
hmmmm. bad question for me. i'm not very religious. i'm assuming that, for this question, i own the church since i have to accept the money or decline it. and i'd probably ask the congregation what they thought. if they thought that i should take the money and run with it, i would. if they caused an uproar and didn't want to lose their precious church, i'd tell them they damn well better start handing in better donations. haha. but seriously - if it was a century old building and it was still in good shape, it'd probably be a historical landmark, so i could probably get some kind of government funding to keep it up and running and looking all pretty like it should.

A co-worker needs to leave early and asks you to punch her time card when you leave. Do you do it?
haha. depends on whether or not i'm friends with the co-worker. if i were friendly with her, then i might do it, if i knew she could use the extra money. otherwise, no. but i know how it is to want some extra money after you leave the work place. i've definitely lied a little on my time card here and there to get an extra little change. haha. no harm done.
