valetine's day blizzard

so yeah, this past weekend was valentine's day. q came down. he got here thursday night and stayed until tuesday morning (which wasn't planned, he was only supposed to stay until monday morning, but the snow was so bad he got stuck here)... yeah that's right the snow was so bad. we got 30" of snow here. and this town can't handle snow in the least, so of course it was a catastrophe. but hey, at least they cancelled classes on monday! that was the best event of my whole college career (they NEVER cancel classes, not even on 9/11 or when they thought we got hit with anthrax). anyway, it was good to have q here even tho we really didn't get to do much cause of the snow. we went out to a movie and then dinner with kelle and yohei on valentine's day. we saw how to lose a man in 10 days and then went to red lobster. it was good. q got "alotta colada" a huge pina colada (virgin of course) and we all got tons of food, it was awesome. and the boys even kinda liked the movie, which was good. it was funny. and then on saturday we went to the mall for a little and then met up with amy and becky for dinner at applebee's. by sunday, the sky had shit on us all and we were buried in snow. we had to basically just push aside some snow in order to leave, but then we came back to campus and parked in the lot... when we tried to leave later in order to get some food we had quite a time getting q's car out of the space. it was definitely stuck. anyway, it took us like two hours to unstick his car and get it out of there so that we could make it to sheetz to get something to eat. and then we got snowed in again that night. craziness all over, lemme tell ya. but it was fun. it was a great weekend. and even tho his present to me got lost in the mail, i got to have q himself, so all was good!
