my internet has been wacky lately. we had to move, so we called to move the dsl... and then two weeks later, we still didn't have dsl. so we called to confirm that it was to be hooked up and they said that we actually can't have it where we are. something about the phone lines needing to be updated before we can do it. ARG. so we cancelled the dsl and called comcast for the cable internet. so they hooked that right up, i just had to go pick up the modem at their headquarters or whatever. anyway, two days later we got a thing in the mail because we cancelled the cable at the old place, so they were offering a deal for us that included the comcast high-speed internet and comcast digital cable all for $50 a month for a whole year. now, the cable bill before was $50.50 a month - and then the internet was going to be $25 a month for 4 months and then increase to $50 a month. needless to say, we called right away and got in on the cheaper deal. so now we have digital cable for a year. it's not too bad. but i liked it better when it was a "hot box" (aka the cable company hadn't modified our service for what we wanted to pay for yet), so we were getting every movie channel known to man for a couple days. of course - there was still nothing on. haha.

anyway, my birthday was good. uneventful, but good. i'm still unpacking crap. i think i will be for quite some time. blah.
