well, vacation was good. didn't really do much though. haha. my aunt and family had just moved down to NC about 6 weeks prior to us getting there, so they still didn't really know their way around. so we didn't get very much touristy stuff done. i didn't really get to experience much there that i couldn't have done here. we went shopping with my cousins because they had to get back to school clothes. it was certainly weird to go into all these clothing stores and still see summer clothes. it's warmer for so much longer there that they keep out those clothes for more time... where as all the stores up here already have the fall clothes out. cube and i went to the mall on his birthday to get him some clothes and there were like two pairs of shorts and all the rest was pants and sweaters and all the other fall type clothes. oh well. the one mall we went to was pretty cool though. it was call the streets at crosspoint or something like that... and the whole mall is made to look like an outdoor strip mall. part of it actually is outside (reminded me of king of prussia for a minute with the outdoor walkway, but then it stayed outside instead of transferring to another building). but the whole inside part has stone walkways and trees and each store has a facade that looks like it has a roof with a chimney... like it's an actual individual building. pretty cool actually. who knew i should have brought my camera to the mall. speaking of which... i have basically nothing to show for my trip... the last day, i was going to take pictures of the house and stuff (it's huge!) but i didn't get the chance and then we were gone before i knew it. oh well. i'll just take pictures the next time... when the construction is done. they're adding on a room and building a shed for the riding lawn mower. anyway, i miss them like crazy now that they're further away. we used to always do thanksgiving with them, but i dont know what we're going to do now. probably go to janice's again. well, cube is back from his vacation now too, but his relatives are staying with him at their house, so he can't really get out to come see me. it sucks... because we haven't seen each other for over two weeks now... and we've been used to seeing each other almost every day. oh well... hopefully sometime soon.
